CHF

Congestive heart failure is when the heart doesn't have enough strength to pump fluids through the body. The heart can be thought of as two separate pumps working in unison. When either the left or right side of the heart fails to pump blood blood and fluid will back up in that part of the body affected by the failure. When the left side of the heart fails, fluid will accumulate in the body. When the right side of the heart fails fluids accumulate in the lungs.
