Isuprel or Isoproterenol Hydrochloride

Isuprel is chemically related to epinephrine but it acts almost exclusively on beta receptors.
It is a beta agonist sympathomimetic bronchodialtor. It relaxes bronchial spasms and facilitates expectoration of pulmonary secretions by acting on beta receptors. It also stimulates cardiac muscle and is contraindicated in patients with tachycardia.

It is not wise to excessively use this medication due to it loosing its effectiveness.
